AGNESI'S WITCH, THOSE WOMEN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH
IN COLABORATION WITH ALBA G. CORRAL
______La Bruja de Agnesi marked our second collaboration with the incredible visual artist and dear friend Alba G. Corral, a project that pays tribute to women scientists who have been silenced and undervalued throughout history. Together, we sought to honor figures such as Hypatia, Ada Lovelace, Emmy Noether, Margarita Salas, Margaret Hamilton, and many others who have shaped the fields of science and technology.
Through our mapping, accompanied by the evocative music of Rob Clouth, we crafted a visual narrative that celebrated their groundbreaking contributions. These women not only laid the foundation for modern scientific thought but also for many of the techniques we use today in audiovisual art.
With La Bruja de Agnesi, we delved into a poetic exploration of knowledge, resilience, and innovation. It was an honor to collaborate on a piece that not only pushes creative boundaries but also amplifies the stories of women who knew “too much” and whose brilliance has often been overlooked.
